Introduction
Bypass Dampers have a simple function: maintaining air duct static pressure at a certain set point when motorised zone dampers open and/or close with forced air ventilation demand.
bBypass dampers are mechanical or motorised. Mechanical ones are simple, easy to install, more reliable but harder to calibrate and commission. Motorised bypass dampers offer a better and more precised control, however actuators are more prone to failure than simple mechanical ones.
